Meet the founder

Allison S. Prasad, Ph.D. is the proud great-granddaughter of Girmitiyas (indentured laborers from India) and daughter of immigrants from the Fiji Islands.She carries the heart, soul, and spirit of her ancestors whose sacrifices continue to guide and impact her path through tech and community engagement.Dr. Prasad is currently a Community Engagement Manager for Data Center Operations at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. In addition, she previously served as a Principal Technical Program Manager and led intellectual property protection and patenting for The Stargate Project.She created the Core Values for the City of Portland and served in the Mayor’s Office in 2020.Her career spans technology, government, education, and the science museum industry, including technical writing for NASA.Dr. Prasad has been a speaker at SXSW, Grace Hopper Celebration, and Google's Tech Equity Collective.She is also a mentor and #SpecSquad ambassador for AnitaB.org.
