Meet the founder

Allison S. Prasad, Ph.D. is the proud great-granddaughter of Girmitiyas (indentured laborers from India) and daughter of immigrants from the Fiji Islands.She carries the heart, soul, and spirit of her ancestors whose sacrifices continue to guide and impact her journey.Dr. Prasad is currently a Community Engagement Manager for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and an inventor of a USPTO patent-pending infrastructure security system. In addition, she previously served as a Principal Technical Program Manager and led intellectual property protection and patenting for The Stargate Project.She created the Core Values for the City of Portland and served in the Mayor’s Office in 2020.Her career spans technology, government, education, and the science museum industry, including technical writing for NASA.Dr. Prasad has been a speaker for Google, SXSW, and Grace Hopper Celebration.She is also a mentor and #SpecSquad ambassador for AnitaB.org.
